About AKEMI’s SUSHiKiTCHEN

Hi there! Thank you for visiting
AKEMI’s SUSHiKiTCHEN's website!
I’m Akemi Castellano, the owner of this cooking class
and also a certified sushi chef.

I opened this cooking class because I wanted to teach authentic Edo-mae Sushi
to tourists visiting from overseas, and also to foreign citizens living in Japan.
Japanese cuisine (Washoku) has been registered
as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013.
Sushi is an essential part of Japanese cuisine.

Sushi has become very popular around the world,
because it is fresh, delicious, and healthy.

At our lesson, you can learn how to make sushi yourself,
in your own home.

I will show you how to make
several popular types of sushi, leading you through the process
starting from the preparation of the vinegar rice.

We look forward to seeing you in our classes!

You can experience authentic Japanese cooking in a friendly home environment.

Choose from
